Miranda Bouck and Michael Fouquet talk through Hudl's design system, Uniform (video, 51:24).
Uniform, the Hudl design system

Uniform became the first official design system at Hudl. Selling the vision was nearly handled by our buttons alone: our first audit discovered more than 50 buttons across our suite of products, all of which were developed by different teams with different priorities, and different styles and functions.

The product team at the time included 30 designers and 300+ engineers. We built products for over 180,000 teams across the globe serving 40+ sports with 6 million users.

This meant building cohesive, accessible-by-default primitives, reducing decision fatigue, and ensuring designers and engineers worked from the same predictable set of rules. We established a shared design language that could scale across teams, platforms, and future product acquisitions.
